Privacy Policy

RivalParts.com (“RivalParts”, “we”, “us”) is a UK-based aftermarket parts specialist for mini excavators and compact track loaders. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through a form on this site, we collect the details you provide: your name, your phone number or email address, your company name (trade enquiries), and the machine details you give us — make, model, serial number or moulded track size — together with the page you enquired from. If you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we hold the number you called or messaged from and the details you share in that conversation.

Like most websites, our hosting also records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and performance.

Why we collect it

We use your details for one purpose: to answer your enquiry with the right part and a price, and to follow up on that enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interest (responding to a request you made) and, where you tick a consent box, consent. We do not send marketing you haven’t asked for, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

Who we share it with

To fulfil a quote we may pass the machine and delivery details you give us to the established supply partners who stock and deliver the part. We share only what the quote needs. Our website forms are delivered to us by email; the site runs on standard hosting and analytics services that process data on our behalf.

Cookies

This site uses a cookie-consent banner. Essential cookies keep the site working; optional cookies (such as analytics) are set only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as they’re useful for handling your enquiry and any follow-up business, and then deleted. Server logs rotate automatically.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our use of it. To exercise any of these, ring or WhatsApp us on +44 7862 737910 or use the contact form. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
